WCP Enrique R. Piñigol joined RC Mandaluyong East in October, 2012. Before assuming the presidency, he served as Membership Chair in RY2013-14; and as VP in RY2014-15. During the Awards & Recognition Night on June 27, 2015, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, RCME got the following awards: 1. Presidential Citation Award, Gold, conferred by RI Pres. K.R. ravindran & DG Jun Abellar; 2. Outstanding Club for RY2015-16;3. Best Website for RY2015- 16; 4. Award for “Operation Libre Tuli”, implemented in partnership with RC Southern Cabanatuan. Other accomplishments were as follows: DISEASE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT. Organized BLOODLETTING activity “Dugo Mo, Buhay Ko” for the benefit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on September 11, 2015; donated P20,000 worth of Blood Pressure Digital Monitors and Glucometers to the Senior Citizen Association of Barangka Drive, on August 12, 2015, and to Saniboy Seniors Association of Barangay Hulo on September 13,2015.
Sherwin Bryan L. Lu
It was on June 27, 2012, during the Club Turn-Over Rites, held at Lancaster Hotel Manila, that Bryan Lu was inducted by incoming Peace Builder President, Ronald Lim. Thus Bryan Lu is considered as the first recruit in the presidency of Ronald Lim. Bryan was elected as president-nominee during the term of Anthony Catajan, and ultimately assumed Club presidency in his 25th months as Rotarian.

President Ronald was recruited by PP Jesse Cruz, in 2004, to join RC Mandaluyong East. But soon, business commitments consumed his time that he resigned from the club in 2006. He rejoined the club in 2010, on the day PP Prime was inducted as its 26th president. Pres. Ronald concentrated in sustainable service projects related to Rotary’s areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/ resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.
Voltaire G. San Pedro
The Rotary Year of 2003-2004 was the “rookie year” of President Voltaire “bok” San Pedro. Though serving as the Club’s leader in his first year in the organization, he nonetheless was able to continue its well-established programs and activated the club in pursuing district events. Some of these noteworthy activities consist of the Club’s quintessential nomination of the Most Outstanding Public Servant (MOPS) were FO3 Rodolfo B. Robregado received the commendation, a seminar on Drug Awareness at the International Baptist College with the directors of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as its speakers. Equally memorable was the visit at Orani, Bataan with the assistance of fellow Rotarians there to check out the refurbishing of the well and the toilet projects and the mahogany reforestation and the mini-clinics in the said area. Books and computers were donated to the worthy and needy pupils of Nueve de Febrero Elementary School and to those in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, respectively. For medical missions, a “harelip” project was initiated, eye refraction/eye glasses donation as a joint effort with other Clubs as well as a visitation in the National Center for Mental Health and to the children with cancer at East Avenue Medical Center, Q/C. the “Share-a-Toy, Share-a-Joy’ Christmas activity was again put into action. Poverty alleviation was one of the major thrust of the year, with a housing project in Pinugay, Tanay, Rizal as a part of it. The Club’s active participation in a number of district sponsored events include: the Oktoberfest, District Family of Rotary at the Roverbank in Marikina City, the District 3800 Songfest were Pres. Bok bagged the second spot, DISCON 2004, PALAROTARY 2004, etc.

During this Rotary Year 2002-03, the Club was able to undertake the following: ON CLUB SERVICE: We inducted two (2) new members namely Willie Gabriel in December 2002 and Bok San Pedro in February 2003. For Rotary Information, we had the following guest speakers: Rtn. Amante Galang and Rtn. Jake Kliathco. On other interesting topics, we had Dr. Rolando Florento, Atty. Miguel Vasquez, Gen. Dionisio Santiago, Atty. Roman Romulo, Mr. Allan Tibby, and Ms. Cory Quirino.
ON VOCATIONAL SERVICE: For the Most Outstanding Public Servant (MOPS) award, we nominated Fireman PO3 Patrocinio Ojastro, Jr.
Mark O. Asperilla
Rotary Year 2001-02 lived up to the expectations not just for continuing the customary activites embraced in the previous years but more so in spearheading other meaningful events. To name a few, the grant of 3-H Vitamin A supplements and donations of educational materials to public schools and libraries as well as sponsoring deserving students to avail of scholarship were accomplished. Equally important is the continuance of the “Share-a-Toy, Share-a-Joy’ project with Brgy. Dela Paz, Antipolo, Rizal, as beneficiary. The Club’s relief program, on the other hand, was always ready to lend a helping hand to victims when disaster strikes.

The club finances were strengthened out, 20% membership growth was achieved, and 3 artesian wells were donated in the various depressed areas of Mandaluyong. The Club continued its active participation in the Polio Plus Program of the District, and the Christmas package distribution program. It was also during this year that the club initiated its 90 medical/surgical mission at the San Martin de Porres Hospital in Mandaluyong, in collaboration with balik- bayan doctors from the United States, headed by Dr. Daniel Fabito. The Club hosted the GSE team from Argentina, and had a free harelip operation program at the Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.
Luzvimindo B. Fajardo
Diwang Silangan Foundation was Launched as the fund-raising arm of the club, and the Rotary Ann Association was also formally organized. During the colorful induction ceremonies at the Philippine Plaza Hotel, on May 15, 1987, the The Club concentrated on the Polio Plus Campaign, the Child Immunization Campaign, the Christmas Package distribution drive, and the club’s fund-raising sweepstakes raffle. The Club hosted the Save-a-Child Fun run as part of the DISCON 88 activities. Total Membership was reduced to 20, and a core group dedicated members remained.
